The Memorial Tournament is an annual golf sporting event held at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Created in 1976 by renowned golfer Jack Nicklaus, the tournament is known for its prestigious field of players who compete for the coveted title and a purse of over $9 million. The event is a part of the PGA Tour and is typically held in late May or early June. The tournament has a strong tie to its founder as Nicklaus personally designs and supervises any changes made to the course. Some of the top players who have won the Memorial Tournament include Nicklaus himself, Tiger Woods, and Jon Rahm. Fans can enjoy a beautiful view of the course from the 18th hole grandstand, which offers a picturesque backdrop of the clubhouse and signature 18th green. The Memorial Tournament is not just a competition among players, but also a celebration of the sport of golf and its history.
