The Sanderson Farms Championship was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held at the Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi. Its roots date to 1968, and it became known by its Sanderson Farms title in 2013. Played on the club’s par-72 course, the event featured individual competition rather than teams, with touring professionals competing over four rounds of stroke play. Players aimed to complete the course in the fewest strokes, with a cut after the first two rounds narrowing the field for the weekend. The tournament was a regular stop on the PGA Tour’s fall schedule and awarded FedExCup points, giving golfers an important opportunity to strengthen their season standings. Past competitors included established tour stars and emerging players seeking a breakthrough victory. In 2024, Kevin Yu claimed his first PGA Tour title, defeating Beau Hossler in a playoff at the Country Club of Jackson. Known for its welcoming Mississippi setting and competitive course, the Sanderson Farms Championship brought top-level golf to Jackson and gave fans a chance to follow a full-field PGA Tour event up close.
