RBC Canadian Open Explore the latest RBC Canadian Open information from the PGA Tour at your fingertips

The RBC Canadian Open is one of the oldest tournaments in professional golf and Canada’s national men’s golf championship. First played in 1904, it is part of the PGA TOUR schedule and brings leading international professionals and Canadian players together to compete for the title. Unlike team sports, the event is an individual stroke-play competition, with players aiming to complete 72 holes in the fewest strokes; a cut after 36 holes determines who advances to the weekend rounds. The tournament does not have a permanent stadium: it is hosted at a different golf course, or “venue,” depending on the year. Past host courses include Glen Abbey Golf Club, St. George’s Golf and Country Club, Hamilton Golf and Country Club, and Oakdale Golf and Country Club, all in Ontario. Its rotating venues give each edition a distinct course layout and challenge, from strategic bunkering to demanding greens. Sponsored by RBC, the Canadian Open attracts PGA TOUR stars, rising contenders, and home-country favourites, making it a major fixture on Canada’s golf calendar and an important opportunity for Canadian golfers to compete on a prominent international stage.
