The <a href="/competition-pga-tour/event-qbe-shootout">QBE Shootout</a> is an annual <a href="/sport-golf">golf</a> tournament on the <a href="/sport-golf/competition-pga-tour">PGA Tour</a> that takes place in December at the Tiburón Golf Club in <a href="/ctiy-naples">Naples</a>, <a href="/ctiy-florida">Florida</a>. Established in 1989, this event is popularly known as the "Shark Shootout" due to the involvement of its founder and former world number one golfer, Greg <a href="/ctiy-norman">Norman</a>. The tournament features a unique format where 12 two-person teams compete in three rounds of different formats, including scramble, modified alternate shot, and four-ball. The QBE Shootout consistently attracts top professional golfers, with past winners including major champions such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson. In addition to being a highly competitive event, the QBE Shootout also supports various charities and has raised over $13 million for local organizations since its inception.
