The FedEx St. Jude Championship is a premier professional golf tournament and the opening event of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs. Played at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, the championship brings together leading PGA Tour players in a high-stakes individual competition, rather than a team event. The course is known for its water hazards, demanding fairways and strategically placed bunkers, creating a challenging test of accuracy and course management. Competitors play 72 holes of stroke-play golf, with the lowest total score winning the title. The tournament also carries major implications for the FedExCup standings, as players compete to advance through the playoff series and pursue the season-long championship. Fans can follow elite golfers as they contend for the trophy, prize money and valuable points at one of the PGA Tour’s most important late-season events. Based in Memphis, the FedEx St. Jude Championship combines top-level golf with a distinctive venue and a strong connection to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Its playoff format, competitive field and TPC Southwind setting make it a key stop for golf fans tracking the PGA Tour season.
