The TimberTech Championship is a professional golf tournament on PGA Tour Champions, the circuit for golfers aged 50 and older. Played in Boca Raton, Florida, the event is hosted at The Old Course at Broken Sound, a championship course known for its tree-lined fairways, water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Unlike team sports, the tournament features individual players competing for the title and valuable points in the Charles Schwab Cup season standings. Its 54-hole format brings together leading tour professionals, including major champions and established PGA Tour Champions stars. The event has served as a playoff tournament, giving players an important opportunity to improve their position in the season-long race. Notable winners include Bernhard Langer and Steven Alker, both prominent competitors on the senior tour. Fans following the TimberTech Championship can expect a mix of experienced champions, strong short-game play and close competition across three rounds. For golf spectators and visitors, the Boca Raton setting offers a distinctive South Florida backdrop, while Broken Sound’s Old Course provides a challenging test of accuracy and course management. The tournament is a notable stop on the PGA Tour Champions schedule and a key event for tracking the season’s top players.
