The Regions Tradition is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions schedule and one of the tour’s five major championships. Founded in 1989, the event features individual competition among leading golfers aged 50 and older; players compete for the title rather than representing teams. Since 2016, the tournament has been held at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Alabama, on the club’s Founders Course. This championship golf course provides a demanding setting, with strategically placed hazards and varied holes that reward accurate driving and strong short-game skills. The field regularly includes well-known senior professionals and major champions such as Bernhard Langer, Steve Stricker, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Ernie Els and Darren Clarke. Over four rounds, competitors play stroke play, with the lowest total score winning the Regions Tradition and its major-championship honors. The tournament also draws golf fans to the Birmingham area and supports local charitable causes through its community partnerships. For updates on the schedule, venue, players, results and tournament history, follow coverage of the Regions Tradition.
