WGC - Mexico Championship Explore the latest WGC - Mexico Championship information from the PGA & DP World Tour at your fingertips

The WGC-Mexico Championship was an elite professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour and part of the World Golf Championships series. Played from 2017 to 2020, it brought together leading golfers from around the world in a high-profile individual competition rather than a team event. Its venue was Club de Golf Chapultepec in Naucalpan, within the greater Mexico City area. The tree-lined course sits at high altitude, where thinner air can help golf balls travel farther and adds a distinctive challenge for players. The tournament generally featured a limited field of top-ranked professionals competing over 72 holes of stroke play, with no halfway cut. Notable champions included Dustin Johnson, who won in 2017 and 2019, Phil Mickelson in 2018, and Patrick Reed in 2020. The championship became known for its international field, dramatic leaderboard battles and demanding course conditions. After the 2020 edition, the World Golf Championships schedule changed, and the event did not return to Mexico under the same name. Golf fans searching for WGC-Mexico Championship results, champions, venue details and tournament history can trace its story through these memorable editions.
