Shooting Explore the latest Shooting information from Paralympic Shooting at your fingertips

Paralympic shooting is a precision sport featured at the Summer Paralympic Games, where athletes compete for their countries in individual and mixed-gender events. Rather than playing in team matches, competitors represent national teams and earn medals through personal scores in rifle and pistol disciplines. Events vary by firearm, distance, position and athlete classification, with SH1 athletes using firearms without a support stand and SH2 athletes using an approved support stand. Competitors aim at fixed targets from set distances, and results are determined by the accuracy of their shots under competition rules. Paralympic shooting brings together elite athletes with physical impairments, including experienced champions and first-time Games competitors, making the field diverse and highly competitive. Matches take place at a designated shooting range, not a conventional sports stadium; the specific venue changes with each host city and is equipped with firing points, target systems and accessible facilities. For fans following Paralympic shooting results, schedules, athletes and medal standings, the event combines technical skill, concentration and composure, with every shot capable of changing the final ranking. Teams and players are organized by nation and classification, while event formats follow the official Paralympic program.
