The <a href="/competition-marathons/event-chicago-marathon">Chicago Marathon</a> is a marathon event which, in its current version, has been held since 1977, and has been a part of the World Marathon Majors since 2006. The race is traditionally held in October. The event is run by both professionals and amateurs, although they are separated into different classifications.
