The Pure Silk Championship was an LPGA Tour golf tournament held at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, with competition played on the resort’s River Course. Known in its final years as the Pure Silk Championship presented by Visit Williamsburg, the event brought leading professional women golfers to a challenging course alongside the James River. It was an individual stroke-play tournament, not a team event: players competed over four rounds, with the field typically reduced after the first 36 holes. The championship’s history at Kingsmill included notable winners such as Lexi Thompson, who claimed the title in 2017, Ariya Jutanugarn in 2018, and Bronte Law in 2019. Law’s victory was the final edition held under the Pure Silk Championship name. The tournament offered fans a chance to watch top LPGA players contend on a layout known for its water hazards, tree-lined fairways, and risk-reward holes. For golf followers researching the Pure Silk Championship, its defining details are its LPGA Tour status, individual format, Virginia location, Kingsmill Resort venue, and a field featuring internationally recognized players.
