The Ford Championship is a professional women’s golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, bringing together an international field of leading players for individual stroke-play competition. First held in 2024, the event debuted at Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, Arizona, where Nelly Korda won the inaugural title. The 2025 tournament moved to Whirlwind Golf Club’s Cattail Course in Chandler, Arizona, a desert-style championship venue known for its water features, bunkers and challenging greens. Unlike team sports, the Ford Championship has no competing teams: players aim to complete the course in the fewest strokes, with the lowest total score claiming the title. The tournament’s field features prominent LPGA stars and emerging professionals, and past and potential contenders include major champions such as Korda, Lydia Ko and Brooke Henderson. The event adds an important stop to the LPGA schedule and gives fans an opportunity to follow world-class women’s golf in the Phoenix area. For current dates, tee times, player entries, leaderboard updates and course information, check the tournament’s official schedule and LPGA coverage.
