The Black Desert Championship is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held at Black Desert Resort Golf Course in Ivins, Utah, near St. George. Unlike team sports, the event features individual players competing for the title and FedExCup points. The course is a par-71 layout measuring about 7,371 yards, set among the dramatic red-rock scenery of southern Utah. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Phil Smith, it opened as part of the Black Desert Resort and provides a distinctive setting for tournament golf. The championship made its PGA Tour debut in 2024 as part of the FedExCup Fall schedule. That inaugural event drew a field of tour professionals, including Matt McCarty, who won by three strokes to earn his first PGA Tour victory. The tournament gives fans a chance to follow leading golfers as they compete across four rounds, while also showcasing the resort’s challenging course and regional landscape. For visitors and golf followers, Black Desert Championship coverage includes player results, tee times, course information and updates from the tournament venue in Utah.
