The Andalucía Masters is a professional golf tournament held in southern Spain and featured on the DP World Tour schedule. Unlike team sports, the event is contested by individual players, with leading international professionals competing over four rounds of stroke-play golf for the title and prize money. The tournament has been closely associated with Real Club Valderrama in Sotogrande, a renowned course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and known for its demanding fairways, cork trees and strategically placed hazards. In 2023, the event was played at nearby Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, another prestigious venue on Spain’s Costa del Sol. Past champions include major winners Sergio García and Jon Rahm, reflecting the tournament’s appeal to high-profile players and golf fans. The Andalucía Masters combines elite competition with a distinctive setting in Cádiz province, where coastal scenery and challenging course conditions create a compelling test of skill. For spectators, the tournament offers the chance to follow top professionals, explore the course and experience one of Spain’s best-known international golf events. Check the current schedule and venue before travelling, as tournament details can vary by year.
