The Lalla Meryem Cup is a women’s professional golf tournament in Rabat, Morocco, and a regular stop on the Ladies European Tour. First played in 1993, the event is staged at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, a renowned golf complex known for its tree-lined fairways and challenging greens; the tournament is commonly played on the Blue Course. Unlike team competitions, the Lalla Meryem Cup is an individual stroke-play event, bringing together an international field of professional golfers competing over four rounds. Players from Europe, Africa, Asia and other regions vie for the title, ranking points and prize money, while local Moroccan golfers add a home-country presence. The tournament is held alongside the men’s Hassan II Trophy, creating a prominent week of professional golf in Morocco. Past champions include experienced tour players and emerging talents, reflecting the event’s role as both a competitive test and a platform for women’s golf. With its distinctive venue, international competitors and place on the Ladies European Tour schedule, the Lalla Meryem Cup is one of the best-known annual golf events in Morocco.
