The Amundi Evian Championship, widely known as the Evian Championship, is a major women’s golf tournament held each summer at Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France. First played in 1994, it became one of the LPGA Tour’s five major championships in 2013 and is also associated with the Ladies European Tour. The event is played on the resort’s Champions Course, an 18-hole, par-71 layout overlooking Lake Geneva and the French Alps. Rather than competing in teams, a world-class field of professional golfers plays individual stroke play over four rounds, with a cut typically made after 36 holes. Past champions include Lydia Ko, In Gee Chun, Anna Nordqvist, Brooke Henderson, Minjee Lee, Céline Boutier and Ayaka Furue, reflecting the tournament’s international field and place in elite women’s golf. The Evian Championship is known for its scenic setting, challenging course conditions and high-stakes competition, attracting leading players from across the LPGA and global golf tours. Fans can follow the leaderboard, player performances and tournament results throughout the week at this premier French golf event.
