The Novices Hurdle Race Explore the latest The Novices Hurdle Race information from Jump Racing at your fingertips

The Novices’ Hurdle Race is a National Hunt horse racing event for horses beginning their careers over hurdles. Rather than teams, the competition features individual horses ridden by jockeys, with trainers and racing yards preparing each runner for the challenge. Competitors race around a turf course, clearing a series of hurdles while aiming to finish first; the venue may be a racecourse such as Cheltenham, Aintree or another track on the racing calendar. Race distances, field sizes and conditions vary by event, so the official racecard is the best source for confirmed entries, jockeys, trainers and starting times. Novice hurdle races give developing horses valuable experience in jumping, pace and race-day tactics, and often attract attention from fans following future prospects in National Hunt racing. For spectators, key details include the course layout, going, declared runners and recent form. Whether you are checking results, runners or race previews, this guide to the Novices’ Hurdle Race offers a clear overview of the horses, jockeys and racecourse features that shape the contest.
