The Madrid E-Prix is a round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the international series for electric single-seater racing. Held at Circuito de Madrid-Jarama, north of the Spanish capital, the event brings Formula E’s teams and drivers to a permanent motorsport venue known for its compact layout and elevation changes. The circuit, often called Jarama, is not a football stadium; it is a purpose-built race track with grandstands and spectator areas around the course. Formula E teams have included Porsche, Jaguar TCS Racing, Nissan, DS Penske, Mahindra Racing, Envision Racing, Andretti, Cupra Kiro, Lola Yamaha ABT and Maserati MSG Racing, although team names and driver line-ups can change between seasons. Drivers compete in identical-generation electric race cars, with strategy, energy use and overtaking all contributing to the result. For visitors, the Madrid E-Prix combines high-speed racing with access to a major international sporting event near Madrid. Check the championship’s official schedule for the latest race date, confirmed entrants, ticket details and transport information before attending.
