The Coral Charge is a Group 3 flat horse race held at Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey, England. Run over five furlongs on turf, this fast sprint is open to horses aged three and older and is usually staged in July as part of Sandown’s summer racing season. Rather than competing teams, the event features individual thoroughbred horses, each partnered by a jockey and prepared by a trainer. The short distance makes a quick start, early pace and skilful positioning especially important, with the field racing along Sandown’s straight course toward the finish. The Coral Charge attracts leading sprinters from Britain and Ireland, alongside trainers and jockeys seeking a prestigious Group 3 victory. Sandown Park, known for its distinctive course and major flat and jump racing fixtures, provides the setting for spectators to follow the action from the stands and trackside. For racing fans looking up Coral Charge results, runners, jockeys or race details, the event offers a compelling test of speed and timing within the British horse racing calendar.
