The British Masters is a prestigious professional golf tournament on the DP World Tour, bringing together leading international players and rising talents for a week of competitive stroke play. First held in 1946, the event has a long history in British golf and has been won by celebrated champions including Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Nick Faldo, Lee Westwood and Tyrrell Hatton. Unlike team sports, the British Masters is an individual competition: golfers play for the title and prize money, with the lowest total score over four rounds taking the championship. The tournament does not have one permanent stadium; it is staged at a selection of respected golf courses across England. Past venues include The Belfry, Walton Heath, Hillside and Close House, each offering distinct challenges through its course layout, bunkers, greens and changing weather conditions. The host venue and course details can vary by edition, so fans should check the latest tournament information for the confirmed location, dates and player field. With its blend of British sporting tradition, elite competition and memorable courses, the British Masters remains a key event for golf fans following the DP World Tour.
