Weltklasse Zürich is one of the world’s leading track and field events, bringing elite athletes to Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland. Founded in 1928, the annual meeting is a key fixture on the international athletics calendar and a prominent stop on the Wanda Diamond League circuit. Rather than competing as clubs or teams, athletes represent their countries and compete individually in events such as sprinting, hurdles, middle- and long-distance running, jumping and throwing. The programme features Olympic and world champions alongside rising international talent, with fields and disciplines varying from year to year. Letzigrund Stadium is known for its athletics facilities and energetic crowds, creating a distinctive setting for high-level competition. Weltklasse Zürich often takes place toward the end of summer, when athletes pursue fast times, meet records and Diamond League points. For sports fans, the event offers a chance to follow world-class track and field performances in a major European city. Visitors can check the official event schedule for the latest information on dates, participating athletes, ticket availability and stadium access.
