The <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/city-shenzhen">Shenzhen</a> <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-athletics/competition-diamond-league">Diamond League</a> was scheduled as a World <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-baseball/team-athletics">Athletics</a> track and field meeting in <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/city-shenzhen">Shenzhen</a>, <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-tennis/team-china-1">China</a>, in 2020. The event was planned for the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/city-shenzhen">Shenzhen</a> Universiade Center Stadium, a major sports venue in the Longgang district, and was part of the international <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-athletics/competition-diamond-league">Diamond League</a> series. Unlike team sports, athletics competitions feature individual athletes and national relay squads, with events spanning sprints, hurdles, middle- and long-distance running, jumps, and throws. Elite competitors from <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-tennis/team-china-1">China</a> and around the world were expected to take part, although the meeting did not proceed as planned after the 2020 <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-athletics/competition-diamond-league">Diamond League</a> calendar was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, there were no official <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/city-shenzhen">Shenzhen</a> meeting results or event champions for that edition. For sports fans searching for <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/city-shenzhen">Shenzhen</a> <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-athletics/competition-diamond-league">Diamond League</a> information, the event is best understood as a planned stop in the global athletics circuit rather than a completed competition. Its proposed venue and international format reflect Shenzhen’s role as a host city for major sporting events, while the <a href="https://www.fixturecalendar.com/sport-athletics/competition-diamond-league">Diamond League</a> brings together top track and field athletes to compete for points across a season.
