The Kamila Skolimowska Memorial is an annual track and field athletics meeting held in Poland, honoring Kamila Skolimowska, the Olympic hammer-throw champion who won gold at the 2000 Sydney Games. The event takes place at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów and brings together leading international athletes and Polish competitors across a range of track and field disciplines. Rather than a team-versus-team fixture, the meeting features individual contests, including sprinting, middle-distance running, jumping and throwing events; the program can vary by edition. Hammer throw has a special connection to the memorial because of Skolimowska’s achievements, while the broader schedule offers fans the chance to watch world-class performances in multiple events. The meeting has grown into one of Poland’s prominent international athletics competitions and has been part of the Wanda Diamond League since 2022. Results, participating athletes and event schedules differ from year to year, so visitors should check the official program for the latest details. For athletics fans, the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial combines elite competition, a major stadium setting and a tribute to one of Poland’s most celebrated sports figures.
