Athletissima is an annual track and field meeting held in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a long-standing stop on the Wanda Diamond League circuit. First staged in 1977, the event brings together leading international athletes to compete in disciplines including sprinting, middle-distance and distance running, hurdles, jumping and throwing. Rather than team competition, Athletissima features individual stars representing their countries, with results contributing to personal records and, in Diamond League events, points toward qualification for the season finale. The meeting is hosted at Stade Olympique de la Pontaise, a multi-sport stadium in Lausanne known for its athletics track and lively crowds. Its programme and athlete line-up vary from year to year, but the event regularly attracts Olympic and world championship medallists alongside emerging competitors. Athletissima is recognized for fast performances, close races and a strong atmosphere, making it a prominent fixture on the international athletics calendar. Fans following track and field in Switzerland can find event details, discipline schedules, athlete information and results through official meeting and Diamond League channels.
