The Hangzhou Open is a professional men’s tennis tournament held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, and part of the ATP Tour’s 250-level calendar. First staged in 2024, the event is played on outdoor hard courts at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Tennis Centre, a modern venue within the city’s major sports and entertainment complex. Rather than competing teams, the tournament features individual players in singles and pairs in doubles, with ATP professionals from China and around the world seeking ranking points and the title. The opening edition drew attention for its international field and strong local interest, with Croatian Marin Čilić winning the singles championship and China’s Zhang Zhizhen reaching the final. The Hangzhou Open adds a high-level tennis stop to the city’s sporting calendar and gives fans the chance to watch professional matches in a purpose-built stadium. Visitors can follow singles and doubles action, see emerging players compete alongside experienced tour professionals, and experience ATP tennis in one of China’s best-known cities.
