The World Athletics Relays is an international track and field event organized by World Athletics, bringing national teams together to compete in fast-paced relay races. First held in 2014, the championships feature athletes representing their countries in events such as the 4 × 100 metres, 4 × 400 metres, and mixed-gender relays. Each team combines sprinters with different strengths, including explosive starters, strong bend runners, and reliable finishers, while precise baton exchanges are essential to success. The competition takes place in a host city’s athletics stadium, with the venue changing between editions; its track, spectator stands, and team areas provide the setting for races across multiple sessions. Results can influence international rankings and, depending on the edition and qualification rules, places at major championships such as the Olympic Games. Fans following the World Athletics Relays can find event schedules, team line-ups, athlete performances, race results, and stadium information through official meet coverage. With national pride, world-class sprinting, and close finishes, the event offers a distinctive showcase of relay racing on the global athletics calendar.
