The Volvo China Open is one of Asia’s leading professional golf tournaments and the oldest international professional golf event in China, first held in 1995. The championship brings together an international field of players, including leading professionals from the DP World Tour and talented golfers from China and across Asia. Unlike team sports, competitors play individually over four rounds of stroke play, with the player recording the lowest total score winning the title. The event is associated with the DP World Tour and the China Golf Association, helping connect Chinese golf with the global professional circuit. Its host venue can change from year to year, so the course, local conditions and championship layout depend on the edition; the tournament is played at a golf course rather than a traditional stadium. Fans can follow the Volvo China Open for live scores, leaderboard updates, player profiles and tournament results, as well as news about course challenges and the race for the trophy. With a history spanning three decades, the event remains an important fixture on China’s sporting calendar and a showcase for international and homegrown golf talent.
