There are some exciting sporting events coming up this week. On Monday, the PDC World Darts Championship continues, Tuesday sees the World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic move into its fourteenth day, and the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL on Wednesday. Australia will take on India in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series on Thursday, and the United Cup begins in Australia on Friday.

Wrapping up the week, Bath battle Saracens in an exciting Premiership Rugby game on Saturday, and the Brisbane Heat host the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League on Sunday.

PDC Darts: Paddy Power World Darts Championship Day 9

The PDC World Darts Championship continues on Monday with Day 9 action at London’s Alexandra Palace. Monday will feature eight second-round matches, including Jonny Clayton facing Mickey Mansell in the afternoon session and Rob Cross clashing with Scott Williams in the evening session. Tournament favourites Luke Humphries and Luke Littler have already advanced to the third round.

World’s Toughest Row: The Atlantic Day 14

The Atlantic

On Tuesday, the World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic enters its 14th day. The race began on December 11th, with 38 ocean rowing boats and 110 rowers from 21 nations departing from San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands. The race is a 3,000-mile unsupported rowing challenge across the Atlantic Ocean, starting in the Canary Islands and finishing at Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda. Currently 4-man crew Row4Cancer are leading the race, they are skippered by Mark Slatts who currently holds the solo and pairs world record for the Mid-Atlantic route.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers v Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL will gear up for an exciting Christmas Gameday showdown on Wednesday as the Pittsburgh Steelers welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Acrisure Stadium. Despite leading the AFC North standings, the Steelers are looking to bounce back from a tough 34-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Chiefs, boasting an impressive 14-1 record are sitting atop the AFC West standings and look set for the number one seed in the AFC.

Cricket in Australia: Australia v India (4th Test)

Thursday will see Australia take on India in the fourth Test of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. With the series locked at 1-1 following a rain-affected draw in Brisbane, Australia must secure a win to stay in contention, while a victory for India in Melbourne would see them retain the trophy for an impressive fifth consecutive series.

ATP and WTA Tour: United Cup Day 1

The third edition of the United Cup, a joint ATP and WTA event, will begin on Friday at the Perth Arena. The United States enter as favourites this time, with an all-star team including Taylor Fritz, Denis Kudla, Coco Gauff and Danielle Collins. Defending champions Germany as well as Poland are strong contenders too. The Knockout stage will begin on 1st January with the Final on the 5th.

Premiership Rugby: Bath Rugby v Saracens

Saturday sees Bath take on Saracens in an exciting Premiership Rugby game at the Recreation Ground. Bath lead the Premiership standings with seven wins and one loss and will look to cement their position with another victory. Saracens, in third place after a 39-24 win over Northampton Saints on Sunday, will be looking to put pressure on Bath at the top with a win.

Big Bash League: Brisbane Heat v Sydney Sixers

The Gabba, Brisbane

The Brisbane Heat will host the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League on Sunday at the Gabba in Brisbane. Both teams sit at the top of the standings and remain unbeaten, each with two wins from two games. A win for either team will put them two points clear. Both teams are expected to be in the mix for the title this year.
