Event of the Day: Pittsburgh Steelers versus Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Our event of the day is the NFL game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The Buccaneers enter this week 3 game 2-0, their best start to a season since 2010. Meanwhile, the Steelers' 0-1-1 winless start to the season is their worst since 2013. With a win, Tampa can record their best season start since 2005. The Steelers' goal is try and salvage their season, so they can return to the winning ways that saw them go 13-3 last season. With one team looking to continue their dominant hot streak, and the other looking to regain control of their season, it is going to be a fun night in western Florida. The name on everyone's lips is Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Buccaneers' quarterback has thrown 8 touchdowns in 2 games and boasts a passing completion rate of 78.7%. Initially signed as a backup in 2017, Fitzpatrick was thrust into the spotlight to start the 2018 season after Tampa Bay starting QB, Jameis Winston, was given a 3-game personal conduct suspension. With talented receivers such as DeShaun Jackson and Mike Evans, Fitzpatrick will hope to exploit the Steelers' defence.

The Steelers, led by 14 year veteran Ben Roethlisberger, have struggled this season. Their defence ranks 5th last in the NFL in points allowed and they are still without star running back Le'Veon Bell, who remains in a contract holdout. However, the Steelers do have offensive talent in Antonio Brown, Juju Smith-Shuster and James Conner. These three excel at breaking coverage for big gains and could be the solution to beating Tampa Bay tonight. Overall, with the Buccaneers looking to make a statement and the Steelers just looking to win, it is sure to be an exciting game.

Honourable mentions around the globe go to day 3 of the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck, Austria. Today sees Individual Time Trial events in the Junior Women and Men's Under-23 categories. Riders face a fairly strenuous ride from the Swarovski Crystal World in Hall-Wattens to the Hofsberg Imperial Palace in Innsbruck, with many uphill sections. With a course, seen to be fairly simple in terms of technical difficulty, pacing will be key for the riders. It is sure to be an exciting day for the future stars of world cycling. In MLB, the Chicago Cubs look to move closer to securing the NL Central title as they host the Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field.

Whatever you're watching, enjoy!
