Event of the Day: Washington Wizards v Boston Celtics

Our event of the day is Game 3 of the 2nd Round NBA Playoff series between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. If any team is going to stop LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers reaching the NBA finals as the representative of the Eastern Conference it seems likely that it will be the Celtics. Led by the inspirational performances of Isaiah Thomas, he scored 53 Points in Tuesday night’s game in honour of his recently deceased younger sister Chyna, they have a 2-0 lead in the series and have the momentum after an overtime win last time out. However, the Wizards should not be taken lightly and have stars of their own in John Wall and Bradley Beal, and tonight will be a big chance to get back into the series in front of the DC home crowd. 

Honourable mentions go to the first leg of the Europa Cup semi-final between Celta Vigo and Manchester United, NHL Playoff action with the Ottawa Senators up against the Rangers in New York and some exciting Copa Libertadores matches. However, this Eastern Conference NBA Playoff battle should be well worth watching. Enjoy.
