Event of the Day: Golden State Warriors v Minnesota Timberwolves

Our event of the day 

is the NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. This is a highly anticipated clash as the Warriors currently share the top spot of the Western Conference with the Houston Rockets as they both hold matching 8-3 records, while the Timberwolves are right behind them with just one victory less. Both teams are on strong runs as well - the champions have won seven of their last eight games and have four straight victories, while the Timberwolves are enjoying a five game winning streak. Golden State have started their four-game homestand with a 97-80 triumph over the Miami Heat on Monday night. The league’s two-time MVP Stephen Curry is on a roll again and leads his team with 25.7 points per game.

 

Minnesota however will provide a tough challenge as one of the form teams in the NBA. There high level of performance strongly thanks to  the excellent play of Karl-Anthony Towns and Jeff Teague. They were both instrumental in the Timberwolves’ last game - a 112-94 win against the Charlotte Hornets. Teague in particular impressed while pulling the strings in a strong team performance with 12 assists on the day. With players on both sides on top form, a high-quality game is guaranteed.

around the globe go to the second warm-up cricket match of England’s Ashes tour in Australia against a Cricket Australia XI in Adelaide. The Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan, showcasing the world’s best players under the age of 21, moves into the 2nd day. There are three NHL games scheduled for tonight, including the San Jose Sharks versus the Tampa Bay Lightning at SAP Center.
