Our event of the day
is the NBA clash between the Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Little Caesars Arena. Both teams will look to bounce back from defeats in their last games. The Pistons’ fine run of form was ended by the LA Lakers who ran out 113-93 winners at the Staples Center a couple of days ago, while the Bucks lost a close-fought 126-121 game with the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center. As such, the Pistons come into tonight’s game in fourth position in the Eastern Conference with the Bucks a few places behind in eighth. Some of the most in-form players this season will be on show tonight, so we can expect an entertaining game.
One of these players is Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. The twenty two-year-old is currently averaging 31.3 points, 10.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists and if he continues his current form will be in the mix for the league MVP come the end of the season. Despite the form of Antetokounmpo and the Bucks winning three of the four meetings in the 2016-17 season, the Pistons will fancy their chances. Although a shaky defence cost them against the Lakers, they will take confidence from their 5-3 record – including an impressive win against reigning champions the Golden State Warriors. This game will be worth keeping an eye on.
around the globe go to the quarter finals of the ATP Rolex Paris Masters at the AccorHotels Arena. Juan Martín del Potro takes on John Isner and Fernando Verdasco faces Jack Sock. In the EFL Championship, Wolves are playing Fulham at Molineux Stadium. In Rugby Union, the Anglo-Welsh Cup begins with Sale Sharks visiting Sixways Stadium to face Worcester Warriors and there are two NHL fixtures as the Edmonton Oilers play the New Jersey Devils at Rogers Place and the Anaheim Ducks host the Nashville Predators at the Honda Center.
Whatever you’re watching, enjoy!
